Tonight, I've mostly been drinking a McManis Cab Sav, from Tescos. half price at £3.50. It is a screw top, which would usually put me off but I bought it anyway.
If they have some more tomorrow or Monday, I'll prob get a few!
Well, it's not night yet here, but I just came back from the wine store with a bottle of Siduri Pinot Noir from Sonoma. Well, two bottles actually. The winemaker was at the store doing a tasting, so I had him sign one bottle (for the cellar) and the other we'll have with grilled Ahi Tuna tonight.
Oh that must be tasty down in the heat of your state this evening. It was 75 degrees here today and that is not the usual thing for an early spring day in this neck of the woods. I am going to have a cold glass of the port that I made. Cheers Daw - here's one also for all.
Believe it or not, we had a high temp of about 60*F here today. Water Water everywhere. All lakes and rivers are at all time record levels. Might even have a frost and/or freeze on Sunday night. Gotta cover some stuff up tomorrow before I head back out to work. Lots of tender new vegetation here.
Drink up folks and celebrate not being on duty this weekend !!! I got the reins for ya !!!

Yes, with 2 months on some oak it's even better. Out of the 5g I made, 2 went in wine boxes for consumption, 1 had oak added, then other 2 went in demijons (they now have some oak added!)
On a clean baking tray, under the grill. just to give them a light charring. don't walk away at all if you try it, might be very easy to get the setting alight!
It was some cubes I had from an amarone kit last year. (Don't think I left the amerone on the cubes long enough, not overly impressed with it, It's good, but I was hoping it'd be better)
