Yes... Hobnobs are very nice. I prefer the dark chocolate variety.

              Now THAT'S a good question.

              It must be a hybrid.

Cakes go hard when left out for a day or two.. Biscuits go soft.. or something like that..

                  Hobnobs are good for me.

Ahhh... more language confusion ensues from across the pond.

I Googled "McVitie's Hobnobs" and was confronted with a photo that looked for all intents and purposes like a.... cookie. Is that what a biscuit is?

I don't know if Twix is a proper biscuit, but those are great. Gets my vote!

(BTW, biscuits over here are fluffy bread-like disks that you slather with sausage pan gravy. Like this. Part of a good southern breakfast. )

I love me some regular Oreo cookies, dipped in skim milk until soggy.

Ah yes - the Fig Roll

I have just had biscuit flashbacks reading this thread...

                            Custard Cream
                            Lemon Puff
                            Gypsy Cream

And my allllll time very favourite when I was a few years younger the Wagon Wheel

A few years back, one of my work collegues said that wagon wheels never had any jam in them. I said that years ago, they did.
Every time we had them in our "box" meal from work we would have the same "discussion"... the ones that work provided, didn't have any jam

Anyway, it got to the point, that to resolve the issue, I wrote to Burtons biscuits, for a definitive answer...

Astoundingly, we were both right !!
But this was due to the fact that we were brought up in different parts of the country
And they sent us through a few pack of "Mini Wagon Wheels" - with jam in

                            Ok... now I'm wittering
