  • 100% Juices

Was in Farm Foods today, they have Ribena 100#% juices on sale 3 for £1

Obviously I bought some, they have two types, raspberry and blackberry blend, and blackcurrant and blackberry blend.

Gravity of the juice is 1.060

    two batches started

    1st one
    1.5 litre WGJ
    1 litre apple juice
    2 litres blackcurrant and blackberry

    2nd one
    1.5 litre WGJ
    1 litre apple juice
    2 litres raspberry and blackberry

no other additions as yet as it tasted just fine and I dont think it will need nutrient

I bet it will come out good. Most every fruit wine I make these days, I've been trying to use as close to 100% juice as possible. They always come out with far more body and flavor than those with water added.

Damn! just done a "store find" and the nearest one is 40 miles away.

      That counts me out.

        Bob

I made some of this in July

I'm sorting out today and this has been bulk ageing for around 4 months so i'll give them a test to see how they are getting along

        post results later

Sounds great, might have to make some myself

I just started 3 gallons of Wine #1 today

Why did you say 'don't think it will need nutrient'? Any particular reason? Just curious

I added grape juice and apple juice, pretty sure there will be enough goodness in there for the yeasties....

but for anyone listening out there....if in doubt add nutrient (same goes with pectolase)

My local shop didn't have any of the cartons
The did have the 250ml bottles, 12 for £2... so not as good as a bargain, as 3 litres for a quid.

However.... they did have some frozen tropical fruit mix... they were marketing it as a tropical smoothie mix.
They were selling this off for ten 500gram bags for £1...
I just HAD to get some

The ingredient breakdown is 31% of mango, pineapple and papaya... and 7% banana.
Might be quite an interesting wine
