Federation level judges, and CJJ Berry in earlier publications regarded 1.000 as dry!
Dry is approx 0.990 (no sugar present)
I reckon on......
0.992 -0.994 off dry
0.996-1.000 medium dry
1.002-1.006 medium
1.010 medium sweet

I told my daughters, and now my granddaughters, always to revise their expectations downwards................
Bob, I wasn't querying your knowledge or expertise, I have FAR too much to learn - and respect for you and your forum - I just like really DRY wines. I am probably here to stay, it's a great forum. We SHALL meet up, I m pretty sure, In which case I shall present a token, in front of witnesses!
But there might be conditions to spend it on fishing, jazz or boating books....
Laughing like a drain here!
Cheers

racked 5 gallon pacific quartet, a gallon of medium bodied apple wine and two gallons of wine 1.
Went to the home brew in whitley bay and picked up some supplies and two kits (beaverdale grenache rose and sol grundy piesporter gold). Really have some serious catching up to do and still got about 14 gallons to rack off.
Plan to focus my little spare time on fermenting as much as possible.

Highlight of the bottle washing was a gadget for stealing bottles from a bottle bank - a litter grabby stick with a few elastic bands around the jaws to make it really grippy.
100% success - but then you have more to wass (booooooo)Gluten free, caffeine free, dairy free, fat free – you gotta love this red wine diet!
