  • Racked, degassed and stabilised my WE Supertuscan.

I decided to omit the sorbate and the finings - this one will be in the Better Bottle for a while, so I don't think I'll need either.

    • Filtered two five gallon kits started just after Christmas....
One was a rose...which is quite nice...cant remember the brand
The other was a Mondego Chardonnay style.... its ok... but I dont think I will be buying it again Its just not to my taste

Racked pineapple number one... it had finings.... but its still not clear.
Sweetened it a little... and will leave it for a few days, then will try some finings

        • In the Winery I'm degassing and stabilising a gallon of Rhubarb + Elderflower, one of the Cellar Rat yeast trial wines.

Over in the Brewery (the other worktop), the first Beer No.1 is underway.

                  • I've got a large seed propagator, electric. Checked it today and it’ll hold 2 x 1 gallon demi’s. Will try getting a WNo1 on and building up a good insulation box around it. It’s in a greenhouse, a large one. The evenings are still a tad on the cool side, enough to totally stifle any fermentation. If the sun shines day time it’s lovely in there, low to mid 20’s. So we’ll give this a go.

                    • Cleaned out a keg that had my blonde ale in it. Lasted about 2 weeks. No I didn't drink it all either.

Anyone else think Bob's Beer Kit has a nice ring to it?

Might do an instructional at Grapefest on homemade brewing equipment. Though 'm starting to accumulate spare stuff now. I upgraded the mash tun to 28L and still have my old 21 Litre one. It's top notch for British Ales.
