  • Took a much needed break

Well i took a much needed break and built myself something. It was a total diversion for me and allowed me to gather my thoughts and get my mind uncluttered. So here are some pics of what I did.

It is a 15 foot Double hander. I casted it last Sunday. I have a lot to learn but the fellow that is teaching me showed me what this rod is capable of and I am definitely impressed. The wood in the handle I packed out of the bush when I worked as a faller 30 years ago. The decorative Celtic Knot was done for me by my brother a very talented man.

    Welcome Back!

That is one VERY nice looking bit of kit!

    Frank Drebin: I'm a locksmith. And, I'm a locksmith.

It's a stunning looking rod. I think I would be too scared to fish with it in case I got it dirty
Having said that... that would be like having a good home brewed wine that you never drink I suppose...
