It's not a big stretch to see how is started, but I am surprized it was so prolific.

Having visited that area several times, I can tell you that the Haight-Ashbury hippie scene didn't die out with the sixties. It only moved a little further north to California's wine country.

One of the booming businesses in that area is hydroponics. I'd bet not all of those indoor farmers are growing basil and thyme.

"dropping one pound of marijuana into a cask of fermenting wine" they would have to be growing it !! The street value of that would be about £2000 (3200 bucks) - from the man who is recycling his crown caps - thats propper dear!!property
