    It is with great sadness that I have to report the sad passing of Professor Gerry Fowles earlier this week

    a great servant to the hobby and to the guild of wine and Beer Judges

    the passing of a true winemaking legend

      Well I am very saddened to hear that Gerry Fowles has died.
      His books & wine making ingredients were a class above all the others at the time he introduced them.
      I still use them in preference to any others.
      He was a inspiration to me once I got Wine making in style & then Must.
      Very sad.
      I will be making & drinking some of his inspired wines as a tribute to him.

        I spoke to Gerry several times about his yeast and yeast propagation. A proper lovely bloke.

        It was he who originally suggested how to ferment 300 L on 5 g of yeast

        Rest well Gerry.
        Gluten free, caffeine free, dairy free, fat free – you gotta love this red wine diet!
