    I've got kefir grains again! Time for some fermented milk mmmmmmm

    it also makes a nice bread ingredient - particularly if you run it really sour. you will find it increases the shelflife of your bread and add the sour dough type flavour - without all the time-consuming process of sourdough.


    ... and makes good cheese.
    Gluten free, caffeine free, dairy free, fat free – you gotta love this red wine diet!

      I'll try it with the bread. Do you still need regular bread yeast?

      I like kefir to drink but store bought just doesn't taste the same as home grown.... mmmmm... sour! Once I've got enough grains to split, I'm happy to share with you guys for whoever is interested Won't be for a while though cause I've got only about a tablespoon's worth.

          Just had first crop of kefir- still sweet, but nice and thick. Drank a full glass, mmmmmm!- Actually tastes sweeter than unfermented milk.
