Trip to Brouwland

Had a fab day at Brouwland in Belgium with the lovely M....

met up with Luc Volders and his girfiend Els, spent lots of time chatting, shopping, drinking.

then onwards to the mosel Valley, lovely weather (really hot and sunny) drank some yummy Reisling and chilled out

managed to find some of last years prunings around, so they are now planted in Lubeck....hoping for some new Reisling vines

It was a great time, great laughs, met some great people. We got to touch the shiny things they had on display and turn everything around 5 times in our hands.

I got a 3 gallon demijohn with basket
Filters
Bungs (silicone)
vacuvin with the clicker-system
a beer kit for the guy in the white t-shirt
hydrometer (because I only have one)

and probably other stuff that I'm forgetting.

The people at Brouwland are really nice, the facilities are WOW and it was great fun getting there. (Are we there yet?) The sat-nav (GPS) let us down and so we had to rely on a certain male reading a map. Well, let's just say, we made it a little later than originially anticipated.

The hotel we stayed at was just posh posh posh, and we wanted to swim, but our lack of the language (or not!! we're not sure) lead us to believe that no swimsuits were allowed in the pool. That being said, we decided to skip the swimming and eat a 5 course meal. The breakfast was incredible, and we really enjoyed the whole experience.
