The first one looks like you might have added a little too much washing up liquid Bob, oh and the second pic ? looks like you're a dab hand at making marmalade

    regards

p.s. sorry, couldn't resist looking good though

          Yes...

How To Make Old Fashioned Parsnip Marmalade

1 pound of parsnips, peeled & grated
One finely diced peel of lemon
          The juice of one lemon
The finely diced peels of three small oranges
The pulp and juice of three small oranges
          2 cups of sugar
          One pinch of ground cinnamon
1/4 of a cup of orange liqueur

Combine all of the above ingredients (except the orange liquer) into a saucepan. Slowly heat the contents to a good boil, then reduce the heat. Simmer the contents uncovered and stir occasionally for 25 minutes. Stir in the orange liqueur and cook for five more minutes.

Pour the marmalade into jars and then seal. Process the finished in a hot water bath for 12 minutes.

Makes three cups of Parsnip Marmalade

                Google is my friend.

As one who normally loves parsnips, I have to say that this recipe doesn't sound appetizing in the least.
