  • My first Wine :)

Here is a photo of my first ever finished wine. It's the wine #1 from the beginners forum. No labels yet but I just so chuffed to have bottled this.

    Tastes rather good too

It's too dry for her. I'll have to sweeten a couple of bottles

No need to sweeten a bottle. Sweeten her glass.

              Way to go dude !

Some practice corking or perhaps a floor corker is needed.

I just bottled another batch a minute a go. I stop mine at 1000fg as i prefer it that way as does the other half and friends.

Yep, first time corking and I've only got a basic hand corker
                    ...

I think a floor corker is too expencive at the moment but I may buy one of the twin handled hand corker things

Got my second batch ready filtered and ready to be bottled either tonight or tomorrow, depending on the OH's plans for this evening.

Of course, or at least I assumed you were

Just showing you the difficulties I'm having due to equipment. I bottled my second batch of Wine #1 last night and the corks haven't improved much I think the corks I'm using aren't the best either...

...I know, a bad workman blames his tools but that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

I've got a single handed corker you can have if you want to cover postage for it? It's not as squeaky smart looking as this one, but I won it in a job lot on Ebay and I've got a double handed one that I prefer, so it's going spare.

PM me if you like and we can sort it out - or anyone else if they want it.
