I would be able to collect these, and get them as far as Nottingham on the 4th Jan (but you'd have to make an offer and get the auction ended early!) or Lincoln on random days after that if that would be of any use to any of you?

I know some of you are always on the lookout for 5 gallon fermenters...

well as they look like 25 litre ones, they've got to be worth about a tenner a piece - not for me though, it's too far.

Don't forget they're abut £20 to £25 a piece new.

Ha ha. I just had a look to see if you'd placed a bid yet.
With a bit of luck you'll get them for under a tenner, altho there's often a bidding war at the end of the auction, so I hope your Dad's ready with his bidding finger poised...

Well, according to local folklore, this area DID used to be notorious for Highway men, and funnily enough, the route to Newark up the A1 means that you have to go down a hill that REALLY was a black spot...

Anyway, I'm sure you know the words to the song, Stand and deliver;

"... I'm the Brandy Highwayman, your carbuoy or your life.... Stand and deliver... etc etc..."

And as it's obviously the stand he'd be after, I'd haveto give him that and then make a quick getaway with the carbuoys for you.

Hum ? Well I didn't think that just over a tenner a piece + the stand was too bad.

It's only the same as paying about the 2 quid mark for a 1 gallon model.

The 5 gallon glass ones are rarer, even on ebay!
