I knew it reminded me of something - and it's our old mangle, sitting outside our kitchen window:



I've always wondered if it could be converted to something useful (but my wife wont let me).

Yes it can - The one on ebay is the template -it started life as a mangle.
The Italian community have made a lot of these.
