Please bear in mind this is only everlasting if you don't pig out on it !
4lbs honey (any cheap pure honey from the supermarket, your bees or wherever you usually get honey, I heard they boil honey in some of the shop stuff these day ??)
sachet of yeast cider /mead (I'm sure you all know far more about packet yeasts that I do so take your pick, I used umm something yeasty)
water
pinch of cinnaman or stick, cloves, nutmeg (all optional)
dissolve honey in boiling water as follows:-
pour into a jug or similar 1lb of honey (½ pt) pour on ½ pt boiling water stir until dissolved add 1pt of cold water
pour into SANITIZED demijohn
repeat 3 times more
add cinnamon etc if you want
When it is at the usual temperature , around blood temp in wrist
chuck in the yeast fit air lock
leave it for 4 weeks or so
Take off a bottle sometime after that. Then I drink it. Be warned if you don't drink it it might carry on fermenting with explosive risks etc, so only take what you think you'll drink.
Top up with honey solution. I use differing types of honey so it tends to change a bit over time.
If you are going to drink LOTS of mead make several batches.
