Had real trouble getting the sparger to work, tried two different heads, one from a shower attachment, the other a small watering can rose.....
in the end i just slowed the flow right down and moved the head about...it never ever did "spray" just dribbled
plargh!
but got the job done, so now have 3 Gal bitter, 3 gall lager, three gall barley wine...will enter them at Telford show on 12th July hopefully

oooo boil just finished on the bitter, off to cool it and pitch the yeastN.G.W.B.J.

So how is the ferment progressing Bob you should be at High krasusen or starting to fall. With the first batch. I bottled my lager and ran off another the same and pitched the slurry from the first one I had krausen forming within an hour I baked some bread with the used grains from the batch man o man is that good.http://www.winensuds.com/Gotta love this hobby
