Had real trouble getting the sparger to work, tried two different heads, one from a shower attachment, the other a small watering can rose.....
in the end i just slowed the flow right down and moved the head about...it never ever did "spray" just dribbled

                plargh!

but got the job done, so now have 3 Gal bitter, 3 gall lager, three gall barley wine...will enter them at Telford show on 12th July hopefully

                regards
                bob

                p.s.

oooo boil just finished on the bitter, off to cool it and pitch the yeast

This is why I batch sparge less hassel you don't need to try and match flow or if you are drilling holes in your grain bed.To me this works easier.

I bottled my lager and ran off another the same and pitched the slurry from the first one I had krausen forming within an hour I baked some bread with the used grains from the batch man o man is that good.
