    • Hi, Chris, and welcome.

Tell your wife not to worry about the smells, 1) her nose will get used to it and 2) she's going to love the end product.

              • Hi,

I'm Simon, I live in Gloucester and this is my second year of winemaking, I'm trying to use all my surplus garden fruit so mostly plum and blackberry although I've done a couple of kits as well (and some turbo cider). I'm most interestd in learning more about making large batches of wine (to fill a 30l primary, my goal being to produce 50 gallons/year) as I'm having problems getting my quantities right so hopefully you wont mind if I have a lot of questions at first!

                cheers Simon

Hi Jay, welcome to the forum. I recommend that you start with a Beaverdale kit. They are available in 6 or 30 bottle sizes (1 or 5 gallons) and make fab wine.
