    • I am very chuffed with the results from this VWC

And yes, seconded.. Martina, also deserves many thanks for the instigation of the organisation for this VWC.

        • Hey.... The wine filter .... well... Someone filtered a LOT more wine than I did!

Carole, thanks for your comment, it was really lovely to see the wonderful wines you all have produced. There was really not one of the lot (excluding my mouse wine) that did poorly.

          Good job for all!

              Well, it certainly wasn't intentionally.

Mouse is a very bad wine fault that cannot be remedied.

              • Thought I'd check the forums this morning as I haven't been here for a week, and I can't believe I forgot about this happening on Saturday, how could I !?!

Thanks so much to everyone who was responsible for organising and judging this, especially for my mention!

I'd love to have a meeting about the black art of acid adjustments some time, it's something I pretty much just ignore at the moment - I bought one of those ph strip kits, but it's just sat at the bottom of my brew box for ages.

Love the pictures of the wine table, so colourful!

                  • Thanks bob for the sheets, knew all 3 had co2 problems as i didnt use fermentation stopper and they got very gassy when hot weather came meaning i had to move from loft to shed. Will make sure I stop them from now on. Again thanks for doing this and yes will take part again

                    • Yer...thanks to Bob from me also, very good of him going to the trouble and expense of sending out the sheets.

The scoring and notes (whilst brief) have been of great help to me

                      • will look forward to seeing these when i get home.

If for february I wanted to enter a dry white but wanted critique rather than going for 1-6th, could I enter it into the open class? i know its a little cheeky but thought i'd ask.

Huge thanks again to all those that made this possible. It was an incredibly smooth and easy process from this end of things which i suspect involved a lot of work from t'other end oop north.

                        cheers

Thanks again to Bob and Martina for these.
A great part of the learning curve.

Cant wait for the next one

                            • I keep forgetting the amount of work that Martina has put into this. A very special thanks to her.
The next one could be harder as I think that I now know what you are looking for.
I can now look at the tasting sheets while testing/quaffing, it might take 2 or 3 bottles to get it right in my head, but with all of the help on this site I will get there.

                              Highest regards
