No I havent, but may try to make some sparkling wine instead although for me it does seem a little tedious, unless you dont mind having some sediment and do it the easy way and prime like you do for beer and cider.

I have and everyone should try it once. Its alot easyer to artificially carbonate it with a keg set up. Read "How to make wines with a sparkle" by J. Restall and D Hebbs.
Wine is my job and I'm late for work.

I've made quite a few batches of sparkling wine using several different recipes. I don't know whether you can still buy them, but I use Condessa Sparkletops. They are a plastic stopper with a built in safety valve which has a loop of nylon cord through it. You store the bottles upside down and, when all the sediment has settled into the stopper, still keeping it pointing down a couple of short jerks on the cord shoots it out through the valve. They are re-usable if you clean them straight away, but you have to buy fresh wires for each brew. Worth having a go!

Made a rose petal wine which i did not (or forgot to) add fermentation stopper to.

It turned out sparkling and i must admit it was one of the best wines i have ever tried and got a lot of positive feed back from those who tried it.

Time to revive an old thread!

I fancy trying my hand at a sparkling elderflower wine, there are so many elderflowers here and the weather so nice for gathering them. I don't seem to be able to find the Sparkletops anywhere and the links in this thread are not working properly. Could someone advise me what to search the linked site for please? (sorry if I am being a pain and / or being thick)
