  • Pumpkin flesh?

    I know daft question but.........
    When making pumpkin wine, how do you prepare it
    I was going to scoop the center out as in latern making, peel the "shell" and chop up the rest
    Is this correct ?

        I prepared the pumpkin the same as one would to make a jack-o-lantern.I then used an ice cream scoop to scrape the flesh out the inside- my hubby and oldest daughter helped in this task.I used 4 pounds of pumpkin flesh per American Gallon(128 oz.).The usual yeast nutrient, pectic enzyme, acid blend, sugar to bring to proper SG and wine yeast.I also added one clove and one cinnamon stick.
