  • Blackberry from scratch

    This will be going in a 3gal Better Bottle (2.5 imp)

    10lb Blackberries
    2ltr red grape juice
    2kg bag of sugar
    3tsp pectolase
    3tsp nutrient
    3 campden tablets



    Washed and froze blackberries, thawed, pulped in freezer bags and tipped into primary in straining bag
    2kg sugar (syrup’d),grape juice and water added to 3 gal

    SG 1080

    Added pectolase, nutrient and crushed campden

    Tommorrow plan to pitch Burgundy style yeast

    Have I missed anything or made any glaring mistakes ?

      Well it's probably easy for you to pop over to Scunny for a sup.

      It's quite a trek for me, and I suspect a few of the others, unless Zebs' happy putting a bottle or two in the post
