Many years ago, I had some sparkling wine stoppers that had a sprung valve built in. When you turned the sparkling wine upside-down and let the sediment settle out, it dropped into the stopper. Then when the wine was totally clear, you could pull open the valve and the yeasty sediment would be pushed out under the pressure inside the bottle.
It was a fantastic invention and made brilliant champagne really easily.
But over time, I've lost them all
I'm trying to buy some again.
Does this product ring any bells to anyone? does anyone know where I can get them? Or what they were called?
The local homebrew shop says they've stopped making them... but I've learned that the world is bigger than my local hombrew shop.
