I was thinking along the lines that if Gervin went bust, then they might, by now, be starting to get rare.

Maybe someones bought the name and stock etc and is still doing them or doing more.....I don't know.

I tend to use lalvin yeasts as the local HBS only keeps youngs so the Lalvin stuff either comes from Bob or via mail order from the US.

      regards

I have been buying buying both Lalvin and Gervin yeast from Hop & Grape at £0.99 each. For lightweight orders (under 1 Kg) they charge postage at cost price. Interestingly, when speaking with them the other day they said they had recieved new stocks of Gervin and even had to send me the Gervin eqivalent for Lalvin EC-1118 which was out of stock. So Gervin do seem to be out there.

Hum? I wonder what's actually going on then, because the "business difficulties" of a good few months ago suggested that the yeast along with a good number of the wine kit's would be unavailable.

Some more digging around the net might be "order of the day" then!

          regards

That would explain what's happened then Bob.

I just remembered the earlier parent company going pop and thought that the link might be handy - obviously not.

Though it gives me an excuse to try the Gervin yeasts now!
