I did this last year, with my blackberry and elderberry mix.
I made 5 gal from the first run, and 2 gal from the second run.
Its still a bit young to tell if its any good, but I deffo will be trying it again this year.

Blackberry on its own is at best, a medium bodied wine, I think perhaps if it were blackberry/elderberry/something else (like sloe perhaps).....it might be worth doing, but blackberry on its own will likely give up all it has to offer on a first run
just my two pennerth

It was a mix.... but there was other stuff in there too....
I used a port recipe, but didn't fortify any of it....
The reason being, I made port the year before, from the same recipe, but only fortified 2 gal... and kept the rest as red wine, and it was very nice, IMHO
As Kampervan says....second runs are thinner, mine is more like a rose , which is good, only if that is what you are after.
