loose plan thus far is like this:

Boys from Aberdeen pick up the minibus/van, drive southwards to Dover, picking up itinerant winemakers along the way.... visit Brouwland, sleep in field with Luc Volders and his gang....drink lots of wine, buy lots of stuff, drive home.

If Aberdeen boys not going then the charabanc will start perhaps in Edinburgh or Knottingley

or the other way round, bus starts in south, works way to hull.....etc etc

should be a right laugh, a boozy weekend in Belgium (there is tons of kit to play with at Brouwland

Oh Lordy. The missus has expressed an interest to go!
Dutch Gunderson: Who are you and how did you get in here?
          Frank Drebin: I'm a locksmith. And, I'm a locksmith.

Me, Me, I want to get drunk in a field and buy some bungs. Not necessarily in that order.

                    oooo

                    17 seater minibus...

                    pickup 09.00 fri 10th return 23.00 mon 13th

                    £ 529.51

if 12 of us went (5 seat spaces for bung storage) that would be £44.08 each (plus fuel)

                      Aberdeen-beverlo-aberdeen is 1630 miles

                      @20mpg thats £411 in fuel

                      plus ferry

so i reckon around £100 each should do it

maybe 3 cars would be cheaper....im not sure

there is alweays the option of boarding the ferry at Hull as foot passengers and hiring cars in Rotterdam or zeebrugge?

I'd vote to keep it simple - one minibus.

£100 per head isn't too bad - it covers vehicle hire, fuel and ferry.

once we have final numbers...i think the planning will become easier

(and I elect you to organise it Pete )

                              I'm in.

Do we want to think about splitting up the driving too - I am happy to do a bit. I am sure we could get documents to the right place in this techno age!
