  • Coffee wine?

    Hi,
I was trawling through the web earlier (as you do) and found a short discussion relating to coffee wine. I found myself looking at the date to see if it wasnt April Fools Day, as the concept of coffee flavoured wine would never have occured to me!

Has anyone tried Coffee wine - and does it taste just like coffee? (daft question that one maybe but I have to ask)

If the answer to the above is yes, then does anyone have a recipe for making it at all please? I'm quite intrigued by the thought of it to be honest
    Simon

I have tried coffee wine a couple of times, it wasnt very nice, if you make it, you will find it better off dry to medium sweet i reckon (i used CJJ Berrys recipe)

It wasn't CJJ Berrys recipe....it was Jeff Wingo's (WinePress member, and one time drinking buddy)

          2 tablespoons Instant coffee
          1 tsp Yeast Nutrient
          2lbs Sugar
          1-2 tsp Acid blend
          Montrachet Yeast
          Starting SG 1.092 or so
          Ferment till dry.
          Rack until clear.
          Stabilize and bottle dry.
