  • Acids in wine

    I am practising with an acid test kit from Winemaster and it follows the same principles as those shown in the tutorials except the end result i shown in ppt ( parts per thousand).
    Can any one tell me how this relates to grams per litre?

      EAsy way to think about it is 1000g = 1kg 1000ml (of water) = 1L

      therefore ppt = g/kg = g/Litre (ie 1g/1000g = 1g/1000ml)

      also if you see ppm (parts per million) that is also mg/L
