Is a 'BetterBottle' better that its cheaper counterparts?

I like the ones Karl does, they are straight sided and so do not collect sediment on the sides of the bottle like the better bottles do.

I have both..

They both do what they are supposed to. Very well too, Not a single drop has leaked out of them onto the bench.

I like the half sized ones Karl does (did?) too, they are better than the 11.5 litre square better bottles version I think.

Thanks chaps - I am trying to get to as near to 20l as possible - want to try some funky beer stuff.

Has anyone seen a wide neck version?
