  • Wine storage

    Hi all

At the moment I don't have a problem storing wine as it is usually consumed within 6 months. At the moment my bottled wine resides in the conservatory, this probably isn't the best place. In the near future I will be getting a large garden shed and I am thinking of putting a large wine rack in. Would the shed be a better storage option?

    Cheers

Probably better than the conservatory as wine prefers a steady temp and conservatories are hot and cold within a few hours.

Yup the shed will definately be a better option than the conservatory, more stable temps and less direct sunlight.

Depends, If you have the luxury of being able to choose where the shed is going to be placed, then make sure you do your homework and put it in the coolest area of the garden.

Dig a hole where you plan to put the garden shed and make a cellar under it!

Any hole you dig around here at the moment will just fill up with water, flood warnings in place across the UK again this morning

It would end up as a self filling pool!
