beetroot wine

Just tried my first beetroot wine ive ever made (started last october),the colour has changed from a dark red after second racking to an allmost golden colour (i used darkened bottles,green). Nice and clear with a taste that is nothing like beetrot when used as a vegetable ?? is this normal it certainly tasts alcoholic with a taste that reminds me of scented fushas(if you know what i mean) quite pleasant.

Deffo one I wont be doing fora long time. I have 2 gallon sat in the garage in a dark corner outta sight if you know what mean

As for the colour, yeah mine went the same way

LOL definatly not scented fushas then ,reminds me of my pear wine
