How many demijohns..

Just a wondered how many 1 gallon demijons people have got, bought or given and how many in use?

I've got about 32 now, with 16 in use I think.

All given to me or cheap off of ebay!

Collection of 5gallon glass dj's is growing too, had to buy 1 and just got 1 with a wine kit from Hop and Grape, (thanks Bob!)

I have 4 -1 gallon and one 1/2 gallon. I use them for top-ups. The funny thing is that you folks over there use the one gallon jugs we over here use the 23 or 12 liter carboys. I have 13 of those. Cheers DAW

Holly molly... that is a lot.. I have 4-1gallons....(2 Canadian 1 gallons and 2 US 1 gallons).

I usually use 1-gallon jugs since I do a lot of fruit wines,and for me they are easier to handle.
I've got about 20 one-gallon(US) jugs. I usually bulk age in half-gallon jugs,mainly to free up the gallon jugs.I need to enlarge my little production a bit.Maybe Santa will be good to me this year!

About 10-12 1-gallon ones. For testing various recipes. Not all are in use all the time, though. In fact, none really are being used right now.

I only have about 6 - 1 gallon jugs. I don't do many 1 gallon batches. I have about 12 - 3 gallon carboys, 24 - 5 gallon, 3 - 5.5's, 6 - 6's, and 3 - 6.5's.

All mine are glass. I have given several away of different sizes.

I can't cope with heavy weights so all my fermenters are 1gal. I have 10 glass DJs, 16 PETS, all in use bar 1. As I have two wines in primaries I need to bottle urgently!! I only have about 20 bottles so need to go on the scrounge asap.

PS, I have used all the available space for the bottles I've already filled so that's another problem to overcome.
Heigh-ho - what fun. A good excuse to drink the cellar dry!

As a complete beginner I have 4, but the person who gave me the dj's said he had loads more in the loft that I can have. I refused them at first thinking 4 would be more than enough, but only a day after making my first batch I know I will need more than that as I'm addicted already!

Off to put a tea wine on now.

I have 60 x 1 gal 45 0f which are full and bulk aging, 4 x 5gal and one 4 gal all presently in use.

4 x 1 gal brewing
1 x 5 gal fermenter brewing
4 x 1 gal pet short term storage

thats 23 gal of wine not counting the stuff aready bottled

Inspired by this thread to do a thorough search I have found 5 empty PETS and 1 empty glass DJ, plus two with maturing wine in.

Er... No, I think not. Ageing Marrow I've talked about in another thread - that's why it was there, hoping it would improve. Didn't have the courage to try it so opened a bottle of rice'n raisin instead. and
