You should have seen the soda pop that he presented at Winefest 2005.
I don't think they will ever get the stain from the ceiling.

Strange taste
At last, the saga of the strange taste has been sorted and wrapped up. Bob very kindly came to my house via his travels to the north east and had a good taste of the infamous wine and immediately came to the conclusion that it was oxidization that was the problem. He thought the wine was quite good and advised me to mix 2 or 3 bottles in my next batch of 5 gallons, I did have a 5 gallon kit ready for bottling and Bob pointed out that it should be topped right up to within a couple of inches from the top so I poured 3 bottles into it topping it right up, I will leave it in the carboy for a month or two then I'll bottle it. I think some of you came to the same conclusion as Bob so thanks one and all for your advice and help, I do realise now the importance of having a very tight fit so as not allowing any foreign bodies from getting in, I'm beginning to realise now that making wine is an art and I still have a hell of a lot to learn. Mac.
