  • To stir or not to stir?

    Hi
I have started a rose kit (Caraf21) I got given. I have follwed the instructions so far, the concentrate is in as is the yeast. More sugar is added on day 3. I am on day 2 and was wondering if I should stir the crust that has formed back in. The instructions don't say either way but I seem to remember reading that for the first few days it is advisable to stir regularly to keep the oxygen levels high.

Yep stir it in, a lttle oxigen at this stage will benefit the yeast.

      Thanks very much!

By the way, have you ever tried a Caraf21 wine kit?

Not myself, but member 'Rich' has, they are a budget line kit, which I would expect a quaffable, but not great wine from. Though quaffable wines keep us going while we wait for the good ones .
