Beverdale SG Reading

Just started a Beverdale White Burgundy 30 Bottle Kit and my SG reading seems to be off what it states in the instructions. The kit says the SG should be between 1075 and 1082 but mine after many tests and stirring session and leaving it to settle for 30mins is 1090, ive also checked my hydrometer and the temp is around 21c .
My question is apart from it ending up having more alcohol in it should a be worried about the difference.

Are you sure you have made it up to 23 litres, or are you trusting the markings on your bucket? (they can be very inaccurate)

8 points higher will not make too much of a difference though

Yep am trusting the bucket i'll have to test it when its next empty and come to think of it i think its the first time ive used this bucket so i'll have to check it when i do my first racking.

Yep, Bob's right, buckets can be well out on the readings. Couple of mine are nearly a litre out
