I've already got 3 of these kits thanks. The reference was more about how they have shot up in price!!!
Everybody should believe in something -- I believe I'll have another drink....

    • I missed the under 20GBP, price shot up to 30 now, for a little more I could get a Wineworks kit, Beaverdale- the novelity is over. I have to say that these kits come with good yeast, premium oak, and caps. A little under 7 liters of concentrate, it does smell nice. We shall see

      • Been drinking the raspberry Merlot last night. Served from a corny keg. It has a light sparkle but not much. It was great served over ice in a jug and handed round. Very easy to refill too.

        • So glad I was patient with the Rasberry Merlot. Like Rich I've been drinking this in the Scottish summer heat . Lovely poured over plenty of ice but I just couldn't imagine drinking it two months ago. It's got me thinking about doing an Island Mist next spring.

PS. Lovely part of the world up there Rich. Been to Aberdeen before years ago but we fitted a kitchen in Tarland last week and took the Braemar route both up and down

          • An old thread but ...

I bought a Paklab Pinot Grigio and a Semillon Chardonnay some time ago, mainly because they were so cheap that it seemed rude not to.

For a low(ish) end kit, the results were surprisingly good. It was bottled for a friend's party, and it all went. Light, quite fruity, and clean tasting.

I kept the Semillon Chardonnay for myself, making it earlier this year. We have just started drinking it after just a month or two in a better bottle and a few weeks in the bottle. Again, I am very pleasantly surprised. Light and fruity again, plenty of nose - a great summer quaffing wine.

Shame Amazon don't sell them now.
