  • Finishing up a smorgasbord of various beers people have brought me over the last couple months. Choked down a Shocktop Raspberry Wheat Beer, followed by some Pomegranate infused concoction. Blecch! Nothing worse than finding fruit in your beer.

Time to move onto wine I think.

    • had acouple of Muntons Connoisseurs Continental Lager and will be moving on to some rosemont shiraz before too long, not a bad drop for the money and it's filling my red wine need as i've only produced whites and roses so far.

          • We had 20 people over for a backyard Paella party today, so there was a lot of Spanish wine present. I had a nice Albarino and a Monastrell.

            • We had a cocktail party last night. This may conjour up images of sophisticated and witty repartee, grand pianos and evening dresses. This was more like 'a party where some people tried to make cocktails'.

No wine was harmed during the making of these cocktails.

We do seem to have empty Tropical White, Fruit Merlot and Rhubarb & Elderflower bottles though

                • Maybe 3 months old. It's pretty good - went down really well with the guests (who were under strict instructions to be completely honest about the wines).

IMO it only needs a month in the bottle before drinking.

                              • Earlier on I finished off a bottle of Barefoot Shiraz which quite pleased me considering it was only a fiver whilst on offer at ASDA ,but now I have moved on to my wine #1 variant which is going down rather well to say the least.
