          • Last night...

2009 Apple Wine. Cool and crisp, you can almost hear the sound of biting into an apple.
2010 Moscato D'Asti sparkling wine. One of my daughter's faves. A tad too sweet for my taste, but very aromatic and otherwise pleasant.

Also enjoyed a Goose Island Pepe Nero while watching the "Super Bowl" (American football championship game). Good beer from Chicago. It's technically a saison, but I think it tastes more like a stout. Black as night, with a lot of depth.

            • Tonight in my glass is a Beaverdale Chateaux Du Roi. Only bottled 29/12/11 and it already is very drinkable, so i have brought 6 bottles down from the loft for tomorrow night. Got the lads round for another wee guitar session ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzTdsfkzEq8 )and promised complimentary wine. I will however be opening the last bottle of the first wine I made, another Beaverdale, a Cabernet Sauvignon bottled 16/10/11 and was last tasted before Christmas. Hope I'm not dissapointed.
