ooo thats harsh. Very good, rounded tannins almost chocolatey.

It has given me an idea for making some MErlot this year specifically to lay down. You know dropping skin et al.

Took a leaf out of Brian's book and had a couple of glasses (leftover from racking) of a Grenache I made 3 months ago from Brian's frozen grapes. Despite it being so young it certainly shows promise with good balance and a pleasing level of tannin.

Well I have to confess even though I was concerned about it (see other thread) Merlot 2012 was what I was drinking last night.
