With £1.30 ish in tax, plus vat on it, paying for the bottle and closure, some profit for the retailer etc, doesn't leave a lot for the juice inside!! Not surprised £3 wine is rubbish..

I had a nice bottle of Lockwood Syrah last night (Bob's apparently been moonlighting over in the states). Inexpensive ($10/£5) and tasty too.
