Drinking remnants of strawberry wine. It won grand champion at the Dakota County Fair beer & wine competition this evening.
Took home 5 blue ribbons (1st in class) for:- Tuscan Blend (Sangiovese & Cabernet) - Dry Red
- Chardonnay - Dry White Wine (Reserve Grand Champion)
- Late Harvest Chardonnay & Chenin Blanc Blend - Sweet White Wine
- Strawberry Wine - Dry Berry (Grand Champion)
- Orange Muscat Port - Specialty Wine, dry or sweet
Plus 2 red ribbons (2nd in class) for:- Apple Wine - Dry Fruit, not Berry
- Pomegranate, Dry - Open Class
All in all, not bad. By my count, there were about 72 entries in all. A fairly decent turnout for county level competition.
