      • Racking, filtering, and bottling all day. Zinfandel, Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and an odd gallon of Cabernet Franc. 55 gallons total. I still have another 35 gallons of stuff that's all filtered and ready to go, as soon as I can dredge up more bottles.

          • Started a third run on the Grapefest grapes (a mix of merlot, garnacha and tempranillo) with a Cellar 7 Cab Sauv kit.

Racked the Ltd edition WE Shiraz - the colour and bouquet on this is phenomenal!

                • Bottled another 25 gallons tonight. Including the last of my 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet. Really nice wine. A blend of 87% Cab Sauv, 9% Merlot, and 4% Cab Franc. Aged for 14 months in a brand new French oak barrel.

12 gallons to go and I am done bottling!

Nooooo, the wine gods would surly strike me down.

That and I don't have another kit to chuck in.

                              • Sanitising a stack of new airlocks and a couple of not-quite Better Bottles (thanks Karl).

Every year I run out of airlocks, despite making less wine than the previous year. My theory is that, when left unattended, they undergo some sort of fission, forming one odd-coloured sock and a couple of dried-up leaves.

I checked Rich's comedy-vines. The variety he says () are Sav Blanc are up to 20+ brix, but I only have 20. Not 20 kilos, or even 20 bunches. 20 grapes.

I daren't check the Cab Sav because picking one grape will reduce the harvest by about 10%.
