    • It takes me all day to bottle 10 gallons!

Just a bit of degassing & stabilising for me today - my Kenridge Showcase Petit Verdot/Cab Sav kit, and a Wine No.1/Elderflower thingy.

Cobblers! you're only saying that because you've put a microwave in there so you can warm up your coffee because it gets cold when you're busy getting carried away with doing wine stuff!

Impressive array of bottles there Bob, definitely smacks of factory production though - how long'd it take ??? (and which batches are they?)

            regards

              • It looks like the operation was carried out with military precision.

Had I been in charge it would have looked like a massacre (all over the floor and up the walls).

Which is how Bob's kitchen normally looks

(I also like the way he's caught himself reflected in one of the cabinets while taking the photo!)

                  • Put the skrink wrap tops on the wedding favours, and polished the bottles.....
Good tip Koomber about the microfibre cloths, I reckon it took half the time, and elbow grease than it would have taken me normally

I labelled up and ribboned one of the bottles
                    It looks not too bad
Just another 69 bottles to go

                    • De-labelled and washed 20 bottles.
Sanitised 6 and bottled some elderberry.

                      • A little more activity than I intended.

I degassed 5 gals of Kenridge Showcase Petit Verdot/Cab Sav. Just as I pulled the Whizz Stick out for the last time, it fell out of the drill and into the Better Bottle.

After a few attempts at retrieving it, I realised the only thing that was going to work was to rack everything into another Better Bottle.

I use a telescopic racking cane, and as I lowered it into the BB, the telescopic tube fell off and joined the Whizz Stick in the wine

After racking most of the wine off, I was able to retrieve the tube (ironically, by sliding it along the Whizz Stick).

No big deal - I just had to clean and sanitise an extra BB, but it made me chuckle (afterwards).

                        • Filtered my second attempt at strawberry ...

Not good again... but better than last time....
The strawberrys MAY have known the postcode they needed to be in , but only half turned up
Ahhh well... maybe it will be third time lucky for me on the strawberry front...
Maybe I will give it up for something else

                          On a more postive note...
I have dont the back labels on the wedding favours...
Just the front labels and ribbons to do now

                          • Started off a WN1 ready for gooseberry juice addition at 1030.
Started of a WN2 because I have not done one.

                            Thought about cleaning more bottles.

                            • A little racking this morning in the winery. Then bottled the squeezed or drained test gallon of Lychee. Half the gallon was drained into a half size dj, the other half was well squeezed into a half size dj. It's now bottled with a small sample of each for later.

                              • Cleaning bottles, followed by filtering and bottling. Hope to bottle some Tempranillo before the weekend's out.
