My garden was overstocked by the previous owner, and I regularly find plants being smothered by other plants (e.g. I now have a source of Elderflowers/berries just outside my door).
We have a tree which I reckon is 20ft tall, and is dropping blackberry-like berries at the moment. I meant to do some research this time last year, but got side-tracked.
Anyway, here are a few photos. I think I know what it is, but can a better gardener than me (i.e. almost anyone) confirm what it is, whether the fruit are edible (and therefore fermentable ) please?
EDIT: The berries are around blackberry size, maybe a bit bigger
