  • Making wine from Fruit Puree ?

Hi, i have fround a tub of raspberry fruit puree, frozen. It is 1kg, and made of 90% pure raspberry 10% sugar. Was wondering if i can just adapt a raspberry recepie that i have. would 1kg of this be worth more than 1kg fresh raspberrys becuase is puree and all the good stuff, or shal i use same measurements? They do lots of other falvour purees here if any 1 else is intrested http://www.oakleaf-european.co.uk/fe...afruitiere.htm

I can get mine for free though so would be great if i could use this for wine! :P

I plan on mixing this tub with some other fruit, mabye fresh peach'es to make 2 gals.

    Cheers, Ash.

An interesting link Habel, and welcome to the forum.

As it appears to be just fruit and sugar, no preservatives, I don't see why not. I hink I'll get some of this stuff myself.

Not sure about quantities, but I would think 1Kg puree would equal 1kg fruit. Let your hydrometer be your friend!
