Need a few Plums

I had this lovely south african Shiraz the other day, and the after taste of plums was gorgeous. I only make tinned fruit wine with cartons of grape juice,,

I know its totally out of season for plums but any ideas?

I'm wondering what Richard_S's enhanced Beaverdale Rioja would be like with a few plums added. Might be worth a 1 gallon experiment.

Tried local sainsburys and morrisons, for tins but never seen any!!!!!!,,,,,, However popped into morrisons this morning and they have just started selling South African plums .. Into the whisk they go

I wouldn't do it but you are welcome to try. I occasionally mess with white kits in this way, the Pinot Grigio with dried apricots turned out ok.

With reds, tannin, oak and raisins are the only things I add at the moment.

Costcos have large punnets and Tescos even have a Buy one get one free on fresh plums
