well they do manage to cross fruits, there is a blackcurrant that is crossed with a gooseberry (cant remember the name of it now!) that gives giant blackcurrants....strange but true (although i suppose they are similar types of plant

Could be a wind up.. lots of info coming up on google, but all dated today.
