    He produced some good recipes (you will find many on this forum) but as Bob said sugar is better refined so you need a lot less sugar then in the old days when the book was first released..........its just his recipes need updating to better reflect todays wine making techniques...........hence Bob link

      There are some fab recipes in there, just add sugar to SG 1.080 instead of the quoted amount and you will be fine.....
