  • advice on Solaris, Aurore, Triomphe & Regent please

Does anyone have experience of growing the following varieties: Solaris, Aurore, Triomphe d’Alsace, Regent.

I intend to grow these in York (North Yorkshire, UK) on a flat allotment site with reasonable southern exposure and silty loam soil.

I’m interested in disease resistance, growth habit and wine style (…especially for Solaris and Aurore, which have a limited amount of information regarding them)

Ortega, early peachy white wine grape
Phoenix, early/mid season disease resistant white wine variety
Regent, early/mid season disease resistant red wine variety
Rondo, early resistant red wine variety
Schonburger, late white wine variety, pinkish grapes
Siegerrebe, early pink/gold grapes for sweeter wines
Solaris, strong growing resistant variety, neutral wines, holds acid well, earlier than Phoenix and Seyval Blanc. Resistant variety, cultivation agreement needed.

Thanks. They're not far from York, so he should have a good idea about how things grow up here.
