Just recieved my Vacuvin from Amazon (within two days)
Using junior air lock I am absolutely delighted.
The O/H often wondered what I was doing while stood behind me.

How on heavens earth do you sanitise a tennis ball before using it, and would it be discarded afterwards or could it be cleaned and re used????

Something we do in flyball all the time to remove dog spit from tennis balls.

Put the balls in the washing machine, add half a cup of malt vinegar and put on a rinse and spin cycle.

My whizz stick doesn't fit into a 1 gallom Demijohn, the bit that the screw is on gets stuck if I try to put it in the neck

Should the demijohn be filled right to the top before attempting to degas using the vacuvin? Is an inch or two headspace ok?
